Hey all, admin here,
In accordance with my attempt to reboot the novel series I was working on years ago, I've decided to revisit the source material and opened up Icaria for the first time in a while.
I had completely forgotten that the article that had been written by the previous admin was full of misdirection and false info! And this page had remained here for years!
So I'm adjusting the content and going to start lore headings on each planet with quotes from bios that directly references context from each world so that there's a chance to read up on them, and not be deceived by the personal interpretation of the content we have.
Granted, I don't mind the fact that people love to create fan interpretations. It's all we currently have in…
I'm just curious, does anyone use the basic rules for Heroscape?(Beside playing it the first time)
Here to post my review of this week's edits and some general coverage of what's to come.
I changed my name to something more fitting to Valhalla's setting, previously I was using the name of an original character but in the interest of keeping a little more of Heroscape's character alive, I took the name of this Valkyrie to make into a character. I might be posting some narrative content as flavor for the identity so look forward to it!
(Shame that the name I intended to grab was already a name used in Fandom but I'm more happy with this one, its fitting for a wiki editor)
I'm going through candidates for deletion and removing more of the unnecessary D&D segregation from the wiki so make sure to mark what you see so I ca…
Hello readers and Fandom editors, I am back and before I get started to explain anything I wanted to issue a formal apology for my extended silence, as it may have seemed to a few that I had just vanished into space without a single reason why.
The device I used to make edits on, a netbook, began to act up sometime midsummer and for reasons I still do not know, I couldn't have more than one tab open at a time. Now, usually for me to do edits, I have to have a few tabs, for research and cross-checking and such. Without this ability, editing became difficult. The memory clutter that I couldn't solve then made it where I could only have one tab at a time.
It was during this long-winding descent that one day, I was going on my routine check of…
I hope the holidays was great for everyone on their side of the maps! After a new move and new settings I had the unfortunate circumstance of learning my laptop can't handle internet memory anymore so I have to write by mobile, Hopefully I can get it resolved soon and back to editing this wiki!
Cheers! - Anselm Durante
Hello everyone, a belated Happy Thanksgiving!
I've been thinking of ways to write out this thought since I've had it for some time but the most beautiful thing about approaching holidays (and an unrelated approaching FFXV release date) is the constant flow of tasks that make me busy but give me no time to write.
The thought I had was about the character formula that defines the numbers of the characters released in the Heroscape franchise. This idea started upon consideration of character classes in Heroscape.
First, to support that there is a character formula:

Hello all, admin here,
I wanted to wish everyone a belated National Heroscape Day! I couldn't take the time out to post something about it as I was in Las Vegas the previous week attending the 2016 Final Fantasy Festival at the Paris.
Looking at the time and how it's passed in the span of Heroscape's introduction to the tabletop gaming markets, its discontinuation, and its maintained existence through its fans hitting up to 6 years now of a thriving fandom, it brings back memories of my first Heroscape purchase in 2004.
I was very young, probably 10-11 or so when I first saw the game. It was the fantastic cover art that spoke to me first. Specifically, it was the stand-offish idea that it presented of a dinosaur, a dragon, WWII soldiers, and …
I've never done a blog before! This is a new experience. Unlike Youtube comment sections, it's more you. I will refrain from metioning: Religion, homosexuality, sex in general, the government, and anything that would insult anyone. But given everyone in the world, any given thing is going to insult someone, right? So to fix this, just not talk about said topic? If I went around saying speech insulted me, people would still talk. Or if I said blogging annoys me, would people still blog? Yes. If we were to say nothing that would insult anyone, we wouldn't say anything at all. And a lot of the topics that people get up in arms about should be welcome in discussion, if not practice, because you can learn from discussion with someone with anoth…
I'm adding more information for my character, Caex Dragonson, to my profile. My hope is that my work can become more recognized across the web.
Ha. As if. I wish I could have advice from someone well known on the internet. A Youtuber or perhaps a well known fan fiction author. How do I get my story known?
My first blog post, and a place to just ramble on about my thoughts regarding the nature of the Heroscape game.
Sadly, I have to dedicate it to the current storm in my head regarding the numerous edits in favor of segregating D&D units that were released as official Heroscape units in the game's world.
First, my post on the news page on the main Heroscape page:
"I don't feel that it's too much of a bother, or a problem, or a controversy, to publically state in the news section that there is no accurate basis to isolate the Heroscape that was released with D&D minis from the rest of the units introduced in the game. The D&D units were designed by members of a hard-working team that created the classic Heroscape for us, and did all they could …
If you've stumbled across this page, then you're probably wondering what pieces I'm still trying to get (or you just stumbled completely and have no idea where you are. I'm sorry. Here's a blanket and a cookie. Everything will be better now). Recently, I've been blessed with a nice refund from school, a cut in my rent and a raise in my pay, so I've scrambled and spent hundreds filling in what I've missed over the years. Here's what I'm still willing to barter on!
- Mohican River Tribe
- Axegrinders of the Burning Forge
- Acolarh (with dice)
- Any and all of the Heroes of Faerun
- Additional Elementals
- Death Knights of Valkrill
- Mezzodemon Warmongers
I'm always looking for more terrain pieces at a decent price, as well. I have extra Rise of the Valk…
One of my favorite facets of playing HeroScape, besides designing wild scenarios and battlefields, is coming up with new team strategies. In my free time, I like to come up with squads I'd like to try in my casual games or let friends run with. Since this is as good a place as any for that, here's some I've come up with.
Oh, it should also be noted that these drafts are artifacts of the current state of my collection. As more of my eBay shipments come in, I get more units and can round out armies a little better. That's why you'll see weaker units, low numbers of common squad multi-drafts, and even cross-over with the D&D and Marvel sets (although I don't do Hulk armies. Sorry, but a 300+ point investment just really isn't my style for a si…
I've come across a Wiki for one of the greatest miniature war games ever, Heroscape. It needs a lot of work as far as uniformity and info, but it's fine overall.
There are a few problems with people (idiots, rather) deleting the content of a page and adding random crap, or people adding pages for things that don't have anything to do with the wiki.
That's why I'm here.
Every Tuesday my local game store (Lost Legions of Comics) have a Heroscape Touranment. We do a new theme every Tuesday and we bring a map to go with our army. As many as 4-6 (I know not alot) show up. I will post my armies and the battles I had with them.
