On Grut, Tornak was a lesser leader compared to his peers like Grimnak, who get to ride larger dinosaurs. He was summoned to Valhalla by Utgar.
After the capture of Raelin, he was present while Kee-Mo-Shi contemplated Utgar's mysterious new recruit in one of his fortresses, and Su-Bak-Na became aware of an incoming rescue party. In the ensuing fight, he clashed with Sgt. Drake Alexander, Thorgrim the Viking Champion, the Airborne Elite, the Tarn Viking Warriors, and Johnny 'Shotgun' Sullivan. He would have narrowly dodged a blast of fire from Mimring, being ridden by a Mind-Shackled Raelin.
