He remained this way until Sgt. Drake Alexander, a former soldier of Earth and beloved agent of Jandar, returned from a mission leading the retreat.
Drake has a unique understanding of how war changes men. His gentle coaxing finally broke the great bear’s silence, and Adelbern spoke of his crushing defeat. Failure and death had followed him to Valhalla, where endless war seemed to be the only reward for his life as a warrior.
Drake shared with Adelbern Jandar’s promise: those who survive the battle for all time will be returned home through the Wellsprings, to live their lives again on their own worlds. And though there’s something amiss about the way Drake holds his face while he says it, the promise is enough for Adelbern. His ferocity reignited, the Knight Primus of the Frostclaw Clan will cut down any foe to secure a second chance at his true enemies on Noxdorma.[1]

On Noxdorma, Adelbern was Knight Primus of the Frostclaw Clan, renowned for their displays of power.[2] After a crushing defeat, possibly at the hands of the Gnarlfur Clan, he was summoned to Valhalla. After arriving in Jandar's keep, he was dismayed to discover that his seeming rescue had led him only to endless war, and remained for a time in a silent malaise.
However, Sgt. Drake Alexander provided some soldierly solidarity, and shared that Jandar's aim is to send those summoned to Valhalla home when the war is won and control of the Wellsprings is gained. This was enough to revitalize Adelbern's ferocity and set him on a path to crush Jandar's enemies.[1]
In the aftermath of the collapsed Peace Summit which began the Age of Annihilation, Jandar dispatched Knight Primus Adelbern alongside the Ordo Borealis to help lock down his borders against advances from any former allies or pirate invaders.[3]

Knight Primus Adelbern was among the figures originally designed by a group of community members deemed the War Council for the Age of Annihilation Vanguard Edition crowdfund. This material was later adapted and set for retail release by Renegade Game Studios.
