Grass[]

Color: Bright green top, brown sides
Effect: None.

Effect: When a single-spaced figure steps here, they must end their movement, unless they have an ability that specifies they don't (such as Slither, or Flying). Double-spaced figures only have to stop here if their leading end and their non-leading end are both on a water space at the same time.

Effect: None

Road / Wall Walk[]

Color: Grey, cobblestone texture (Wall Walks have brackets on the underside of the tile)
Effect: If you begin your movement on a road space (for double spaced figures, both spaces must be on the road) then you may move up to three additional spaces. The additional spaces must also all be on road spaces. Road spaces are interchangeable with Wall Walk spaces.[1]

Evergreen Trees[]


Color: Various shades of green, brown bases
Effect: None
Height: 10, 11, 12, or 15

Lava Field[]

Color: Red edges, grey top
Effect: Any figure remaining on a lava tile at the end of the round must roll one attack die. If you get a skull, then that figure receives a wound.

Molten Lava[]

Color: Orange-red, speckled with yellow
Effect: When a figure moves onto a molten lava tile, the controlling player must roll the twenty-sided die. If the player rolls a 1-19, destroy the figure. If you roll a 20, then the figure has somehow managed to survive. A double-space figure that passes through lava must also roll the twenty-sided die. Otherwise, treat lava like water.

Snow[]


Color: White
Effect: Scenario determines Light Snow or Heavy Snow. Light Snow has no effect. Heavy Snow must be counted as two spaces when moving. When a figure with flying lands in heavy snow, the last space still counts as 2. Only count two spaces for the tops of the tiles, not the sides when climbing.

Ice[]


Color: Transparent blue, frosted white
Effect: Scenario determines Regular Ice or Slippery Ice. Regular Ice has no effect. Slippery Ice must be counted as two spaces when moving. When a figure with flying lands on slippery ice, the last space still counts as 2.

Fortress of the Archkyrie[]

Color: Light grey, Silver + Brown accents on Fortress Door
Effect: No effect for Fortress walls. Fortress Door is a Destructible Object. You may move figures up Ladders (see extensive rules).

Swamp Grass[]


Color: Dark green edges, vibrant dark green top
Effect: None

Swamp Water[]


Color: Dark green
Effect: Same as water, except movement does not stop when entering swamp water. Counts as normal water for any special abilities.

Ticalla Jungle Palm Trees / Underbrush[]


Color: Green base, tan trunk, removable green canopy
Effect: Small, medium, or large figures adjacent to trees/brush receive an additional defense die when attacked by a non-adjacent attack. The defense bonus does not increase with the amount of trees the figure is adjacent to.

Wellspring Water[]



Color: Transparent plastic, sparkly
Effect: At the beginning of a round, you may roll the 20-sided die for each Hero you control on a Wellspring water tile. If the result is 12 or higher, that Hero may remove 1 Wound Marker from its Army Card. If the result is a 1 or a 2, that Hero becomes confused by visions and suffers 2 wounds. Wellspring water is a type of water, and follows all normal water rules in addition to the rules described above.
